Red Adair HSE System is developed as part of the Company Management System. The HSE Manual is the guiding document for health, safety and environmental issues and gives all employees necessary information about their roles and responsibilities.
The aim for the HSE Manual is to document for the employees and the authorities whom routines and responsibilities apply, and to inform how the company incorporate authority requirements and laws regarding health, safety and the environment.
Red Adair's goal for HSE related work is: Red Adair shall have a working environment which encourages creativity, working ability, learning and health and protects against illness and working accidents. Our Mission Statement includes the prevention of harm to people or the environment as a result of company operations.
The work related to HSE has in Red Adair the aim to prepare for and develop the individual resources such that creativity, working ability, learning and health are valued. Everybody is encouraged to resolve work related problems at the lowest possible level in the organization and as they occur, hence protecting the employees from work related illness and accidents. The HSE Manual addresses all involved processes in a systematic manner.

The HSE Manual can be made available for clients as documentation of our HSE system.
Red Adair's Training Program
Red Adair's reputation for excellence in training has allowed the company to create and retain an extremely experienced and versatile workforce. As an industry leader, Red Adair's management team recognizes the value of experience in the field. So we have a comprehensive training program that combines classroom training and field experience under strict supervision, to continually produce highly skilled professional operators.
The philosophy of Red Adair is that our operators achieve a high level of competency and have proven field skills. That's why it takes 2-3 years to train our operators. They must first complete an intensive 2-year training program with ongoing mentoring and supervision in the field on 'real' rigs (90% percent of the training is in the field). In conjunction, formal accredited class training is supplied including (but not limited to):

- Well Servicing Blow-Out Prevention
- H2S Training
- Fall Arrest
- Confined Space Entry
- First Aid
- Off Road Driving
Red Adair believes is in 'life-long' training related to our industry and also provides specialized workshops on an ongoing basis on the latest topics related to the industry such as:
- Hydraulics Trouble-shooting and Pneumatic Design
- Packer Fundamentals
- Wireline
- Diesel Engine Basics
Personal Safety Program
The backbone of Red Adair's good safety record is the firm belief that safety is an 'attitude' carried through to every aspect of the job. Red Adair's intensive safety program consists of:
- New Employee Orientation
- Intermediate Employee Training and Certification
- Advanced Employee Training
- Tailgate safety meetings in the field and shop on a daily basis
- Formal weekly safety meetings, and job site inspections are conducted and documented by Supervisor level employees
- Safety Pays Program that rewards employees and management for consistent 'on the job' and 'in shop' safety practices and procedures
- Annual Safety Audits using the Partnerships Audit
- Annual review of the Safety Program to respond to changes in technology, government legislation and hazards identified by staff or in the industry
- Hazard Identification Reporting System - a way for employees to give feedback on equipment safety for design modifications

In addition, Red Adair maintains a comprehensive Policy and Procedures Manual - an active document that outlines all formal safety policies and job specific procedures. As snubbing technology expands, the need for additions to the manual is constant. Every employee contributes so that future employees can benefit from past experience. Anyone within Red Adair can contribute to improving or upgrade the policies and procedures manual, and it is evaluated every year.
Red Adair considers Safety training a 'life-long learning' process and continually develops specialized workshops to keep up to date on safety topics related to our industry.
Equipment Safety Program
All Red Adair equipment undergoes a rigorous inspection and certification schedule. The results are documented at a frequency level that often exceeds governing body regulations. Our equipment is constantly maintained and improved based on feedback from our team to ensure the safest equipment possible.
Quality Assurance
Our primary objective is to ensure that all services provided for or on behalf of Red Adair safely fulfill their stated contractual requirements and are provided at the agreed time, every time.
Red Adair's Quality Assurance System is developed as part of the Company Management System and is based on NS-EN ISO 9001:2000. The Quality Manual is the guiding document for quality issues and gives all employees necessary information about their roles and responsibilities.
The Quality Assurance System assures that all personnel execute their work in a systematic manner. The sequence of how activities should be carried out and by whom is described in procedures, instructions, routines and guidelines.
The overall structure and documentation of the system is as follows:
- Level 1: Red Adair's Management Manual (Including policies for QA, HSE and HR).
- Level 2: Red Adair's Manuals describing the objective of overall specific system . (QA-, HSE-, HR- and Project-Manuals).
- Level 3: Red Adair's procedures and instructions describing all processes affecting quality of our products and services. The procedures are available for all employees through Red Adair's intranet.
